Smokin Ronnie's BBQ Texas Style Pecan Pie & Old School Pie Crust Recipe

Pie Crust

2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup water/cold

in a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
stir in water until mixture forms a ball. divide dough in half and shape
into balls. wrap in plastic and fridge for 4 hours or overnight.
roll out dough on flour counter top or cutting board.
do not overwork.

1 tbs flour
3 eggs slightly beaten
1 cup karo light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
1 cup pecans

350 in oven for 1 hour
