As promised, Tom Waits appeared on last night’s episode of Late Show with David Letterman, where he performed material from last year’s Bad As Me
for the first time. Backed by a full band, including his son Casey on
drums and Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo on guitar, Waits offered an extended
version of the album opener, “Chicago”. Prior to the performance, the
