If you're entertaining at home this May, Texas Pepper Jelly can spice up just about any dish. Try out these exclusive recipes from our Country Sweet Texas Heat Cookbook to impress your guests with our pepper jelly:

Texas Jalapeno Stuffers

  • Fresh jalapeno peppers (about 8)
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 jar Texas Pepper Jelly (any flavor)

Slice jalapenos lengthwise into two halves, and remove all stem and seeds. In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese and Texas Pepper Jelly. Spoon cheese and jelly mixture into hollowed jalapeno halves. Wrap each jalapeno half with a strip of bacon, securing with a toothpick. Put on smoker for approximately 1 hour, or until bacon is fully cooked.

For a fun twist on this recipe, add shredded chicken breast or pulled pork. Add the meat to the jalapeno halves before stuffing with cream cheese and Texas Pepper Jelly. With or without the extra meat, this spicy and hearty appetizer is sure to please.

Gator's Grilled Shrimp

  • 1 lb. Peeled shrimp
  • 1 bottle of Texas Rib Candy Mango Habanero
  • Minced garlic, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Place shrimp in a large bowl, and cover liberally with our Texas Rib Candy Mango Habanero. Add spices to your taste, then hand-rub the shrimp until evenly coated with the sauce mixture. Let the mixture marinate for at least 30 minutes before cooking. When marinated, place on the grill over Kingsford charcoal and two split oak logs. Cook 6-10 minutes, then serve. Place on a bed of greens for a simple and tasty shrimp salad, or pair with a steak for a surf 'n' turf they'll never forget!

Strawberry Habanero Squares

  • 6 ounces Texas Pepper Jelly Strawberry Habanero
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup butter, softened

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except for Texas Pepper Jelly. Press pastry mixture into an 8-inch square baking dish, then spoon our Strawberry Habanero jelly on top until about 1/2” thick. Bake 40-50 minutes, or until light brown. Cool on wire rack before cutting into bars.

This easy recipe can be used with several varieties of Texas Pepper Jelly. Try it with our new Apricot Habanero flavor and watch your guests go back for seconds!
