Eastern Carolina Vinegar Sauce...


Ingredients
  • 1/2 quart brown cider vinegar
  • 1 1/4 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/4 tbs Tabasco
  • 3 tbs black pepper
  • 3 tbs salt
  • 16 oz ketchup
  • 3 tsp dry mustard
  • 5/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Heat and boil until brown sugar dissolves. (You may simmer longer - it will get spicier the longer it cooks.)

3 cups apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
1 1/4 tbs worst sauce
1 tbs tabasco sauce
1 1/2 tbs ground black pepper
3 tbs kosher salt
16 oz heinz ketchup
3 tsp dry ground mustard
5/8 cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp red pepper flakes
