Big Shout Out to "The Morgue" on Nowlive.com
Lo Budjet "LB" Thrillkill and staff, Punka Billie Paige, Annabela Donna, and Grim "The Ghost Gamer" Reaper. This friday night was the "Riding the Short Bus" 24hr bus ride to Cure Juvenile Diabetes fund raising event. The show was "Killa" as usual, and the cure for Juvenile Diabetes IS right around the corner. Bow to the skills of "The Principal."

Can it get any better!!! Two Bottles...
Tonight on the Greg Rempe bbq central radio show, i won two bottle's of Pee Dee River Swamp Sauce. How bout that!!! much fun...
Last week my friend Zach Zajicek's wife, whom i had given some SR's sweet & spicy #4 bbq sauce too, said she liked it so well that she would love to actually "buy" some from me in the future for her family out of state. Zach's sweet wife is the FIRST customer of "sweet & spicy #4." Sometimes the very most special things in life, are for real, the simplest. She will be very special to me forever. thank u dear...

brisket cook 11/2/08
sat night had a wild football game. longhorn's lost with just seconds to go.
cooked 4 briskets and brewed up second shot at sweet and spicy.
had a great time and all is good. pecan and hickory. sweet.
meet Daniel's meat market's wife. she ate some brisket and had many kind words to say.
she thinks i should sale my rub at there store.
all is good. havin fun. we're gettin there pop's, we're gettin there.
my luck of the summer was meeting doug and carole ritter of ritter's bbq. trader's village. who would of thought.
everything has changed. and it is all good. "DOWN HOME SOUTHERN BBQ GOOD".

Traders Village BBQ Contest 2008
for the third time in the last four years I attended the IBCA traders village bbq cookoff.
each time was an incredible learning experience. but this time was more than i could have ever hoped for.
i was lucky enough to meet doug and carole ritter of ritter's bbq. they were kind enough to talk and discuss
with me many of the finer points to the science of low and slow bbq cooking. little did i know when i was talking
to them, they are one of the top bbq teams in the southwest. the good lord keeps leading me in directions i could have
not ever imagined. i will do my very best to make him proud.

since we cooked at the little elm park for the
assembly of god church here in little elm on Sept. 6,
our website has had 800 hits. well worth the $50.00
that we were in the hole for the cook. fifty dollars well spent.
the good lord works in mysterious ways. we are moving forward.

about to cook with post oak just like down in south texas.

Little Elm's annual AutumnFest 2008 BBQ Contest
Smokin Ronnie's BBQ will represent Little Elm in this years AutumnFest. This will be our very first bbq contest. will do a practice run this weekend for brisket. keeping our times exactly how they will be at the contest. this will be extra fun!!!

a day@the shed...
the more i research "the shed bbq", the more respect i have for the owner brad orrison. marketing has its place. a very important place. i've grown as a person and as a rookie entrepreneur.
i see and judge the way he runs his business. some things i believe he does perfectly. some things i would change in a heartbeat. but at the end of the day, he is the boss and i am not there yet. but i'm staying super positive by always ending my postings by writing a line out of the "Godfather". {we're getting there pop's. we're getting there.} many thanks mr. orrison.
for some reason the good lord has steered me in your direction.

It's on. road trip to The Shed...
next friday night me and myles are
headed to ocean springs mississippi.
sat. night @ The Shed BBQ if all goes well.
need to sample bb back's and poppa jack's
famous mississippi sweet sauce.
diddley squat is the blue's band scheduled.
will be bringing back at least 1 gallon of sauce.
vacation is last two weeks of august. hope to cook
several days. want to cook pork spareribs/ and try several
different brisket recipes. work on sweet sauce. start collecting
spices and other ingredient's. cooking is getting better/ faster.
hirsch meat market in plano tx. has been an extra bonus.
"hot", but so far it's been a fun summer.

Our next venture is to capture a bottle of MSS.
We might do a road trip to ocean springs mississippi
if that's what it calls for. I hope we can visit The Shed
as soon as possible. Real "Down Home Southern BBQ"!!!!
