I've been to 6 or 7 steak cook-offs and even judged the finals table in Carrollton this year but this was my 1st steak entry competition. Ton of Fun.
My first practice cook was way too done.
Second practice was cooked perfect to 130.
Needed to bring the salt down.
Cooked sum chicken after the rib-eyes for later munches.
Third practice Friday night before the contest.
At the cooks meeting you draw numbered chips for your draw of two steaks. Got 18th pick.
11th Place Steak. My goal was to be in the Top Ten.
Thank you Mary for stopping by and #havinfun
Want to say BIG Thanks to my friends Jeff and Ed for teaching me the many ways of bbq and steak cooking. They are the best and I'm very lucky to have them as friends.
